Saturday (yesterday)…

…might have been my last exercise walk for a while, I think I might have done the cartilage in my left knee and now I cannot put any weight on that leg. I will give it a rest for a bit to see what happens and if all else fails as my sister in law said I have plenty of walking sticks I can use.

I was out looking for the Long-eared Owl, which unfortunately I did not see, however I did manage to get some more images of the Roe Deer I had seen a few days before.  It was also nice to get some images of a fly over Jay.

A couple of Roe Deer

They weren’t bothered about my being there although this male always liked to keep an eye on me.

I went on another…

…late afternoon exercise walk yesterday in the hope of seeing and photographing the Long-eared Owl. Not only did I see and photograph the Owl but substitute a couple of Roe Deer for Pheasant and I had a cracking walk.

Not as sharp as I would have liked

First Blog of the year

I have been for a few exercise walks during this present lockdown both on my own and with my wife. On this walk however it is the first time I have carried my camera. I only had the 300mm lens with me as the 500mm is far too heavy to carry any distance (not that I went very far). I’m pleased I took it with me as this is what I got.

I also managed a few flight shots of both male Pheasant

And female Pheasant
