Spent Thursday morning at Kibblesworth where I got some images of something I have never seen before, a Speckled Wood Butterfly laying an egg. I also managed some (not very good) flight shots of a couple of Four-spotted Chasers. Unfortunately, there was no Emperor around this time while I was there. The afternoon was spent at Black Plantation where there were quite a few tired looking Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary on the wing and roosting. A few day flying moths were also on the wing which I am now trying to identify.

That is a superb set capturing the egg laying by that Speckled Wood. I would be sooooo proud if i had captured that. Great work Ron.
