This Red Kite…

…and Crow kept me entertained for ages while I was waiting for a Barn Owl to put in an appearance. This is my last Blog for a while (at least until I can drive again after my knee op) and it is rather a long one because I could not resist taking loads of images, think of it as a video but using still images.

I noticed this Red Kite was carrying something in its talons.

And the Crows and Jackdaw had also noticed.

It tried to eat whatever it was on the wing

However, it landed in a tree with whatever it was and checked me out

Then proceeded to try and eat again.

The Kite kept checking me out

But seemed to be struggling with what it was eating.

It still tried to eat what look like bones.

Then a Crow tried to join the proceedings.

The Kite was not happy

But still carried on trying to get the bones down.

Not only was it keeping an eye on me

It was also keeping an eye on the Crow which had not gone away

As it joined the Kite for a second time.

The Kite tried to chase it off

And thought it had succeeded

And carried on eating.

But no, the Crow came back for a third attempt.

This time the Kite dropped the bones

Lightened its load

And took off.

However, the Crow was still not happy about the Kite being around

And once again attacked it

At this point the Kite looked exasperated.

Eventually the Crows gave up and the Kite was able to fly around.
