Farne Islands

I haven’t been to the Farne Islands for a long time so when I asked my wife if she fancied a trip I was surprised when she said yes (she could get sea sick on a Lilo and believe it or not her dad was in the Merchant Navy) so I booked a trip straight away with Billy Shield. It was a great day out and my wife even enjoyed her time on the boat but the highlight was our time spent on the Island photographing the birds.

Farne Islands Part one

Last month (I didn’t realise it was that long ago) I had my first trip in ages to the Farne Islands. I went out with Serenity Boats and landed on Inner Farne. The National Trust were operating a one-way system on the island due to the current circumstances and we were only allowed on for an hour but it was just great to be back and to see all of the usual suspects.

If you look closely, you can see me in the reflection of its eye.

There were quite a few seals around the islands.
