Nice to see the Kingfishers back on one of the local ponds.
This juvenile male didn’t come as close as I would have
liked while I was there but as I said it’s just nice to have them back.
However, the female did (taken with a 500mm + 1.4
convertor and this and the next four images are not cropped).
The female was on the pond for a while and it was
always on the lookout for the male.
She kept coming back to this perch (again not cropped).
It was also nice to see Little Grebe back on the pond.
This is a juvenile.
I had a walk along the lane and it was fascinating to
watch this bee flying in and around this fence post.
