Sunday was probably…

…the last time I will get to Cragside for the Dragons this season. Black and Common Darter were around in good numbers and there were still a few Southern Hawkers. It was a different matter on Monday at Shibdon Ponds where a strong wind must have been keeping the Dragons down as I saw only one briefly. I did however get a Ruddy Shelduck but the only bird of note at Far Pastures was a Kestrel.

Sitting nice (as an old friend of mine used to say)

Black Darter. This is the only one I managed to get sitting nice most of them liked sitting on the picnic tables.
