Daily Exercise

Since the “Lockdown” and as I only live around a mile away my wife and I have been out nearly everyday for a walk around Causey Arch. Here are a few of the images taken on my walks. If we are able, we intend to do more walks around the Causey.

Red Kite with carrion

This Kite also has something in its talons.

Grey Wagtail

Wrens are everywhere.

Long-tailed Tit

Mistle Thrush

Not sure because I didn’t get a good look (or image) but I think Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly.

Please correct me on the identification of any of these flowers they are not my forte. Lesser Celandine

Wood Anemone

The next four images were before the “lockdown”. Yellowhammer

Last images from…

…work for at least six weeks as we are closing due to the coronavirus.

Chiffchaff. There has been a Chiffchaff in this area at work for the past few years.

Buzzard

One of our resident Robins

This Jackdaw looks as though it means business

The Jackdaws seem to wait for the visitors to leave then they pick up any scraps of food that have been dropped

A very distant Sparrowhawk

Catbird. Not at work but in our neighbours garden

Friday 20 March 2020

It was a beautiful…

…day yesterday so I thought I would have a walk around my local patch get some fresh air and take some pictures. I might have more time to get out and about in the coming weeks (virus allowing) as the museum where I work has, as of today, closed until the 1st of May at the earliest. Anyway here is what I got yesterday.
Yellowhammer.

Chiffchaff.

A different Chiffchaff singing away.

Skylark.

Meadow Pipit.

Stonechat.

Long-tailed Tit.

Male Grey Wagtail.

Female Grey Wagtail.

This is the same male calling.

Goldcrest.

Wren.

I watched this one taking nesting material into a hole here it is emerging.

This Wren was catching insects in the stream.

Dunnock.

A couple of Buzzard were circling overhead.
