My wife and I were up on the moors two weeks ago (I can’t believe it’s that long ago so I’m still way behind). We were there looking for Wheatear but unfortunately there were too many people and too many dogs every one of them of the lead and running all over so the shots I got are not that good. We saw a single Red Squirrel at the usual spot digging up its stash of pine cones and generally running around which made me wife’s day. After that it was on to the reservoir for Osprey which didn’t show while we were there. All in all, a canny day out.
