Isle of Mull part 4

It’s not only the larger birds of prey or the Otters I enjoy taking pictures of when I’m on Mull, the smaller birds and insects are just as interesting.

White-tailed Eagles

Large crops on these images because I was looking for insects and butterflies when I came across these Razorbills feeding. Unfortunately, I had a shorter focal length lens on the camera than I needed.

The Terns were trying to steal the fish from the Razorbills.

We were sitting on Calgary beach when this Forest Bug landed on me. I put it down into the grass where it climbed up to the top.

We could not believe it when a few minutes later another one landed on my wife

Isle of Mull Part 3

It’s for moments like this that I go on holiday to the Isle of Mull. For over an hour I sat by my self watching this Otter. It was asleep when I first came across it lying on a bed of seaweed and at first, that’s what I thought it was seaweed. As I watched it would occasionally wake up and look directly at me but then its head would slowly slip down and it would go back to sleep. It eventually woke up and slipped into the loch to go hunting. What a privilege.

Unfortunately, for you the viewer, because of the number of images I have there are more parts to these Blogs than I thought.

I had the moth trap out during the first week of our holiday and this beetle, which was covered in mites, was in the trap

This Horse Fly, which was around an inch long, landed on my car wheel
