I called in at Whitburn today after reports of a Pallas’s Warbler on the mound. After a couple of hours I managed to get some record shots of it and that is all they are but it is still a lifer for me. Brambling was a first of the year, quite a few Goldcrest were around as well as a few Chiffchaffs, and Redwing were seen flying over the mound. Nearly all the birds seen today were partially obscured by branches, which made photography difficult so record only shots I'm afraid.
