Burdon Moor

I can’t believe it’s nearly a week since I took these shots of some of the birds at Burdon Moor. The first few tell (to my mind) a little story and who dosen‘t love a story.

This Female Stonechat was sitting minding her own business.

However, spring is in the air and the male Stonechat has other things on his mind.

But the female doesn’t want to know.

And tells him clearly she‘s not interested.

He takes the hint.

And goes into a huff.

Then thinks to himself, I’ll have another go.

She still doesn’t want him anywhere near her.

So this time he definitely takes the hint and goes off to sit by himself.

Long-tailed Tit.

Wren.

How can something so small be so loud?

Chiffchaff.

Dunnock.
