…a Brown Hare and a not very close encounter with a couple of Little Owls made for a canny early morning and early evening out.
An early morning start to see some rather distant Little
Owls saw one busy sitting on a fence.
And the other busy sitting in a tree.
They came together briefly.
Then parted but didn’t move too far away from each
other.
Later that evening a Brown Hare came bounding up the
field getting closer and closer to me.
It stopped for a few seconds then came closer.
Every time is stopped it did something I have never
seen before; it sniffed every blade of grass it was close too.
It even sniffed some flowers.
It went through a fence into another field
And sniffed the grass in there to.
I thought it was going to eat this bit of grass but it
didn’t.
