The Little Owl was a bit distant at first, but it did eventually come a bit closer. At least six Roe Deer were in a couple of fields.

I started with a local walk in the morning then went up onto the Durham Dales in the early afternoon where unfortunately I didn’t see a lot. Late afternoon/early evening was once again Barn Owl time. Two were out hunting and catching quite a few Voles.
First time in ages I have seen our local Little Owl (unfortunately
I haven’t seen them since).

This is one bonny Buzzard.
A pair of Buzzard.
Not as bonny but still a canny bird.
As I said two Barn Owls were out hunting.
So were a pair of Kestrel, female
And male.

This Little Owl was enjoying the early morning sun (I’ve
been back a few times over the past weeks and have not seen it again).
It looks as though it has been up all night.
Something disturbed it.
And it flew
To a nearby tree.
It jumped from one branch to another.
It kept looking down into a bush.
Then decided to investigate.
Then up popped a Thrush.
This Red Kite was also enjoying the early morning sun.
Until something disturbed it too.
And it flew off.
This Wren was looking for insects in some Ivy and along
a wall.
