A wet morning at Clara Vale

Clara Vale yesterday morning was wet. Arrived around 7.45 and there was nothing much around but 45mins later a male Kingfisher turned up. It did not hang around long, it caught one fish then it was off. There was the usual array of other small birds all looking somewhat bedraggled in the rain. The male Kingfisher put in another appearance followed shortly by a female but a Moorhen chased her off. Not a bad morning.

The picture of the Curlew was taken at Muggleswick later in the morning and was the only picture I took while I was there.
