Clara Vale & Far Pastures

A couple of weeks ago I paid a visit to the hides at Clara Vale and Far Pastures. I hadn’t been in the hide long at Clara when a Kingfisher arrived it stayed around for a while but it was mostly distant. There wasn’t much from the hide at Far Pastures however up the lane were Red Kite and Buzzard.

Clara Vale and Far Pastures

A recent trip to Clara Vale didn’t produce Kingfisher but there was still some canny birds there. I didn’t go into the hide at Far Pastures but instead I had a walk up the lane a couple of birds stood out.

Chiffchaff from the hide at Clara.

This Mistle Thrush looked up and

this is what it saw a Sparrowhawk.

It then carried on doing what it had been doing.

Buzzard

A few images of a Buzzard from a couple of weeks ago. It was catching and eating frogs however it seemed to be always behind a twig or a branch.
