I braved the rain…

…the other day (10th) to look for Cuckoos up on the Durham Moors. I managed to get some distant record shots while getting soaking wet. It wasn’t just me getting wet all the birds I saw were getting soaking wet.

Same Cuckoo different tree

The Meadow Pipit did not like the Cuckoo being there at all.

Mistle Thrush

Curlew in the rain

It got sick of the rain so it tucked its head under its wing and tried to ignore it.

A different Curlew on the same wall

Yet another Curlew on a wall.

The little dot in the centre of this picture is a Red-backed Shrike that turned up at Burdon Moor on the 11th. It was distant to say the least so this is a very large crop.
