Durham Dales

 Last week my wife and I had a drive up onto the Durham Dales looking for (mainly) Black Grouse. We managed to find some in a couple of different locations. We were also looking for boxing Brown Hare and once again we did see them but unfortunately, we didn’t see them boxing.

This Curlew was circling above the moor and at one point it came directly above me.

The Durham Dales

 It has been over a month (where has the time gone) since my wife and I had a drive around the Durham Dales. At first, we didn’t see much however as the day wore on, we got lucky and we saw quite a bit of the wildlife so this is part one of two.

Up in the Dales

 A drive up onto the Durham Dales at the beginning of the month in some sunny if blustery weather. My aim was to find Adders, which I did, and Ring Ouzel which unfortunately I didn’t however it was still a canny day out.
