It was the middle of last month when a Stone-curlew turned up on Seaton Common so being a first for me I had to go down to try and see it. It had disappeared about 10 mins before I arrive and I though just my luck. I waited around for a while and then drove up to the top of the Zinc Works road in case it had relocated. Just as I was about to leave, I saw a group of birders with their scopes and bins looking at something so I drove back down the road and pulled over. The Stone-curlew was showing but it was too far away to be able to get decent images but at least I had seen it. It was chased off by a couple of Crows and that was the last I saw of it.

Not only did I get images of a Barn Owl on a recent trip to Teesside I also managed to get some images of a couple of Short-eared Owls that have been hunting there for a while now.
