Durham Moors Part 2

A couple of pairs of Wheatear were also up on the Durham Moors as well as the usual Red Grouse and Meadow Pipit. Red Kites were hunting over the Moor and beetles were crawling over the walls.

Roe Deer…

…seem to be everywhere at the moment

These were “up the whinnies” as we used to call the fields they were in when we were kids.

Brown Hare “up the whinnies”.

Another day and a different Brown Hare not far from where the other was.

Barn Owl out hunting.

The same Barn Owl on a very distant post.
