My wife and I had a short local walk recently up what we called, years ago, the Whinies. I was pleased to see a good number of different Shieldbugs and loads of Spiders.

A few images taken over a couple of days at work this month.
One of at least three Tawny Owl chicks that were sending
Jays ballistic. This was one of two I managed to get pictures of but, as I said,
I heard at least three altogether and I also saw the adult bird flying off.

Because the weather wasn’t great, we decided to pay a visit to Scone Castle. I was putting the camera into the car when a Song Thrush landed on a fence right next to the car so I fired off a few shots before it flew off. At Scone a couple of pairs of Oystercatchers were in the garden one pair with at least one chick.
