My wife and I decided to have another trip to Studley Royal to try and get to see the Red Deer rutting. We did see some of what I would call practice rutting by some of the males but not the real full-on thing that we were hoping for. I think most of the images speak for themselves so notmanywords. Once again, a couple of the images are a bit graphic so do not look if you are sensitive.

My wife and I had a trip down to North Yorkshire at the beginning of the month to visit Studley Royal a National Trust property near Ripon. We went to see the Red Deer rut; we saw loads of Red Deer but unfortunately no rutting. It was however a great day out. FYI one of the images is a bit graphic so if you are easily offended don’t look.

It was looking for insects in the bark of a tree.
Around the middle of last month my wife and I had a short walk around the National Trust property Gibside. The weather was sunny and quite warm which made for a canny walk. I again took loads of photos of the wildlife we saw, and I am struggling to identify a few of the insects so any help (and corrections) would be gratefully received.
