Red Kite

 A few days after photographing the Red Kite I found the same one roosting in the same place.

I, once again, managed to get some images of a Red Kite enjoying the early morning sun. It has has been roosting in the village for some time now however, it doesn’t hang around long if it gets its eye on something the least bit thing spooks it.

Only the second time out with the camera in weeks and both have been local. One of my neighbours put me onto a Red Kite which he had seen roosting while out walking with his dog. Yesterday I went looking for it and found two in the same tree. Today I went for a walk and decided to take the camera just in case and I’m pleased I did as I came across this Long-eared Owl enjoying the afternoon sun.

This one was the only one I managed to get an image of as the other flew off.
