Night Heron

A visit to Bolton-on-Swale for the Black-crowned Night Herons that have been there for a while. I only saw one when we were there and it was very distant but up to six have been seen according to the guy I spoke to in the hide.

Ingoe

Went to see a cracking Turtle Dove at Ingoe at the beginning of the month. Many thanks to the villages for being so helpful with the location of the bird, it was a pleasure to be there.

Durham Dales

Short-eared Owls (at least five seen) and supporting cast up on the Durham Moors at the beginning of the month. Thanks to Michael (who I saw at work) for the info.

Long Nanny

A visit to Long Nanny in Northumberland a few weeks ago to see an American Black Tern (a lifer for me). It put on a good show along with a canny supporting cast.
