I spent ages watching this male Stonechat take off from the top of bushes to try and catch flies and I took so many images that I thought I would just do part two of the Blog on him.

Durham Dales part two
I don’t think I have ever come across a more obliging Dipper. I was able to just sit on the river bank (moving occasionally when it flew to a different rock) and get loads of images.

Harperley Hall Plant Centre
The middle of last month and once again, a coffee and scone at Harperley but my focus was on the House Martins and Swallows that were flying around, there seemed to be dozens of them (most probably long gone to warmer climes).
Young House Martin.
These two were having a disagreement about something.
House Martin hawking for insects.
It was fascinating to see them making moves like this.
Swallow.
Still feeding young.
Common Darter by one of the ponds.
Common Darter in tandem.
Blue-tailed Damselfly.
One of two Buzzards that flew over.
