I had a drive over to Whitburn yesterday to see a rare visitor to our shores an Indigo Bunting. Whatever its origins it was an amazing bird to see I still can’t get over how blue it is. While I was at Whitburn, I had a look for the Red-backed Shrike which I did eventually see unfortunately the distance and the heat haze did not make for decent images.
