Barn Owls part three

The third and finale part of the Barn Owls this one ending on a more successful hunt or at least I hope it did. A Kestrel chased one of the Owls carrying the prey it had just caught into a wood however I didn’t see the outcome so hopefully the Owl prevailed.

Barn Owls part two

The second part of my Barn Owl trilogy. As I said in part one both the male and female were out hunting unfortunately this dive proved unsuccessful but it did make for some great photo opportunities.

Little Owl

14.04.24 I think this must be one of the most photographed pair of Little Owls on the Durham Moors, they certainly seem to be everyone’s favourite at the moment (and I couldn’t resist). One of them showed well while I was there but its partner was a little more reluctant. Oh, and just to be on the safe side, I was using the car as a hide and nothing was used to bring the Owl to me.

I did however manage to get them both together.

And one of them posed nicely for me.
