A local walk

My wife and I did an afternoon circular walk around the outskirts of our village (a few weeks ago now) and this is what we saw while we were out.

We had just started our walk when my wife spotted this female Roe Deer on the path just ahead of us so we stood still while it looked at us. It must have thought that we weren’t a threat as it slowly walked off leaving us to carry on our walk.

A pair of Large White Butterflies.

Wall Butterfly.

Ancylis badiana Moth.

Longhorn Moth possibly Adela reaumurella.

Small Yellow Underwing Moth.

A pair of Syndemis musculana Moth.

Common Carpet Moth.

Cydia ulicetana Moth.

Glyphipterix species of Moth.

Gorse Shieldbug.

7-spot Ladybird.

A couple of 7-spot Ladybirds.

A 7-spot sitting on a Snail shell.

Still quite a few of these Froghoppers around while we were out.

Female German Scorpionfly.

A pair of Robberfly.

Possibly Baccha elongata Hoverfly.

Walking down the bank back into the village near the end of our circular walk the same female Roe Deer that we saw at the beginning was there to greet us.

Flying above the house when we got back was a Red Kite.
