02.08.22 Less than an hour ago my wife asked what I thought the Magpies were doing in the garden. There were two hanging around the patio acting strangely I said, jokingly, they were probably watching a Sparrowhawk. It turned out it wasn’t a joke sure enough the same female Sparrowhawk that was in yesterday was plucking a still alive Starling. Of course, I had to grab my camera (much to my wife’s horror) and get some pictures. Like yesterday the Magpies would not leave the Sparrowhawk alone and it flew off with the Starling.
