A day out

I started with a local walk in the morning then went up onto the Durham Dales in the early afternoon where unfortunately I didn’t see a lot. Late afternoon/early evening was once again Barn Owl time. Two were out hunting and catching quite a few Voles.

First time in ages I have seen our local Little Owl (unfortunately I haven’t seen them since).

Chiffchaff.

Red Grouse up on the dales.

Buzzard also up on the dales.

My first Comma of the year.

This is one bonny Buzzard.

A pair of Buzzard.

Not as bonny but still a canny bird.

As I said two Barn Owls were out hunting.

So were a pair of Kestrel, female

And male.

Durham Moors

Just got back from a week’s holiday in the Cotswolds where I took a few thousand images so it might take me a while (weeks probably) to go through them all. In the mean time I will post some images that I took before we went away.
