My local Little Owl and local Barn Owl. The Little Owl is flying between trees, occasionally posing and catching the odd worm and the Barn Owl is carrying a Vole back to its chicks.

Two Owls

Another local walk
13.04.24 The Little Owl was a bit closer this morning on my short local walk and so were the Roe Bucks it’s only a pity the light wasn’t better.
Little Owl. A little closer but not by much.
One of the two Roe Bucks that are nearly always in the
field.
However, this one didn’t stay long.
The other was being followed by a Pheasant.
It did come quite close to where I was.
Then something spooked it and it was off.
Even with a beak full of worms this Mistle Thrush was
making alarm calls as it was chasing off Jackdaws.
Its partner joined in to try and chase them away from
the nest.

Some with tasty snacks
I’m still way behind however, here are some more images from around the village again (apart from the last one).
Treecreeper.
I didn’t realise they closed their eye’s when they are
probing into bark looking for insects.
It has just found something.
I just like the pattern on its back.
Probing again.
Just posing.
Song Thrush with a juicy worm.
This one seems to have a frozen worm.
Redwing. Still quite a few around.
This one has lunch.
A blackbird looking for lunch
And finding it.
First Greenfinch I have seen in a while.
The only view I got of the three Roe Bucks on this
occasion.
Just outside the village I found a couple of Brown
Hare this is one of them.
