Part one. Last Sunday I drove up to Derwent Reservoir to see if any Crossbills were around. As soon as I drove into the carpark I could see photographers pointing their cameras at some pine trees. I got the camera gear out of the car and I managed to get some shots while they were in the trees. It wasn’t long before they came down to a small puddle to have a drink not bothered at all by the four photographers who were busy snapping away. To say they showed well is an understatement.
