Saturday 9th April

My wife and I had a drive up onto the Durham Moors on Saturday. It was bright and mostly sunny but with a bitterly cold breeze. We were looking for Ring Ouzel and Wheatear and found one of the former and a couple of pairs of the latter. Everything seemed to be at a distance this year unlike last year when we seemed to be tripping over Wheatear, still nice to see them though.

Male Ring Ouzel.

Male Wheatear.

Female Wheatear.

Meadow Pipit.

Pied Wagtail.

A couple of Grey Partridge.

Mistle Thrush.
