Clara Vale

04.03.24 A couple of hours at Clara Vale didn’t produce the bird I was hoping for but there is nearly always something to photograph.

A small flock of Yellowhammer showed well now and again.

A couple of Long-tailed Tit were visiting the feeders.

Nice to see the Tree Sparrows back although I only saw two.

Reed Bunting.

Stock Dove.

Saltholme part two

14.01.24 Part two are not waterfowl but some of the other birds I saw.

While sitting in one of the hides I got talking to a couple who said they had been told that exactly on two o’clock the Marsh Harrier would turn up. Of course, I didn’t believe it. They left the hide just before two o’clock and I sat and waited and would you believe it bang on two o’clock the Marsh Harrier did in fact turn up.

I like the way the Marsh Harrier is juxta positioned against the pylon.

Siskin feeding on seeds.

Brambling.

Greenfinch.

Tree Sparrow.

Long-tailed Tit.

Stonechat.
